The 1986 Wyoming Cowboys football team represented the University of Wyoming. Head coach Dennis Erickson was in his only season as the Cowboys head coach. The Cowboys offense scored 299 points while the defense allowed 272 points. At season’s end, the Cowboys were not ranked in the National Rankings.
